Since the release of Half-Life 2, Valve has released an additional level and two additional expansion sequels. The level, Lost Coast, takes place between the chapters Highway 17 and Sandtraps and is primarily a showcase for high dynamic range imaging (HDR) technology.

The sequels Half-Life 2: Episode One and Half-Life 2: Episode Two take place shortly after the events of Half-Life 2, with the player once again taking on the role of Gordon Freeman and with Alyx Vance playing a more prominent role and expanding the mysteries surrounding the G-Man and the Vortigaunts. Additionally, one further episode is set to be released in the future, dubbed Episode Three; being the last expansion, "in a trilogy".

I still have not yet played episode 1 or 2 but I have to play it because half 2 was one of the best games of all time :D
ReplyDeleteIt can be epic game, i must play HL2 some day.
ReplyDeleteheh back in the day I built an epic gaming computer just to run this game on ultra high settings
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! I'll be super supportive and follow along!
ReplyDeleteI still need to finish hl2 and the expansions. Maybe after hl3 comes out.
ReplyDeleteFantastic. This title will live on forever.
ReplyDeleteIt looks amazing. I never did get into it but I really should
ReplyDeleteEpisode 3 is the main reason why I hate Valve these days. Episode 2 came out 3 1/2 years ago now, and each episode barely reaches 6 hours in length. It cannot take 3 years to create a 4-6 hour long game to finish up a story. I suppose Valve would rather make new hats than actually bother finishing one of the games that helped make them as popular as they are.
ReplyDeleteEpisode 3 - The lost episode
ReplyDeleteSeriously, taking SO long... What a joke!
Nice blog - Following
Cheers, and good luck!

they are awesome indeed.
ReplyDeleteIt's still on my to-play list. It has been for some time... guess I got no choice now.
ReplyDeleteI tried playing Half life but the game glitched out, so I never was able to really start playing it. I tried playing 2, but I never really got into it since I felt guilty for not completing 1; that and I recall HL2 giving me motion sickness :/ At least I have Battlefield to keep me warm at night.
